SignaCar ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by RaduS Studios. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SignaCar mobile app or website.
1 Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, and license plate number provided during registration.
- Authentication data: managed securely via Google Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google Sign-In).
- Usage data: alerts sent and received, karma interactions, chat messages, and blocked plates.
- Device token: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used solely to deliver push notifications to your device.
- Anonymous alerts: alerts sent without an account are rate-limited by a hashed IP address, which is not stored permanently.
2 How We Use Your Information
- To deliver real-time alerts and push notifications between drivers.
- To maintain your profile, karma score, and alert history.
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
- To improve app performance via Firebase Analytics (anonymized, aggregated data).
3 Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), governed by Google's privacy policies. We do not share data with advertisers.
4 Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below.
5 Security
All data is stored in Firebase with security rules that restrict access to authenticated users only. Communications between the app and Firebase are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
6 Children's Privacy
SignaCar is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
7 Your Rights & Account Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.
To delete your account and all associated data directly from the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
You can also request deletion by emailing support@signacar.app.
8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
